2025 Monterey Dive Trip
Join Dive Outdoors' three dive instructors on a guided trip of Monterey's in-shore reefs and kelp beds this July 19th and 20th, 2025! Grab this unique opportunity to dive with Chris, Chandler, and Tyler! The diving experience in Monterey is unlike anywhere else. There are underwater canyons (including the famous Monterey Canyon), kelp forests, boulders, otters, sea lions, seals, sea urchins, rockfish, groupers, abalone, and wolf eels! Diving amongst the kelp, in the ethereal light, is a surreal experience you will want to repeat over and over again! And with three dive instructors there to guide you, what better way to get to know the famous dive sites of Monterey! Monterey is a fantastic cold water diving location. Year-round water temperature at diving depths is between 48-52 F (approx 10 C). If you only own a tropical wetsuit, you can rent a 7mm wetsuit or buy a wetsuit from Dive Outdoors!
Schedule and Activities
Arrival and Transfer: Dive Outdoors recommends you arrive in the Monterey area the night of July 18, 2025 so that you can be at the dock by 7:30am the morning of the 19th.
Daily Schedule:
Morning: Early in the morning (7:30 am) of July 19th, we will meet at K-Dock, 250 Figueroa Street Monterey, CA 93940 to board the chartered Beachhopper 2. We will do two boat dives from this boat, exploring kelp forests and underwater canyons.
Afternoon: We will return to shore around 1pm, where we can grab lunch at local eateries or explore the waterfront, or spectacular aquarium.
Evening: At 7:00pm we will meet at San Carlos Beach for a night dive at Breakwater, one of Monterey’s most famous dive sites. A dive light will be required for this dive.
Morning of the 20th: At 8:00am on July 20th, we will meet for two shore dives.
